The Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Sonchiriya has been getting a lot of praise because of the old-West style content. While we await the film’s release, the makers have been on a promotional spree. Recently, the team released a promo video of the film and it showcasing a couple of profanity laced, action-packed, grisly scenes. The video is titled Ek Jhalak Chambal Ke Beehad Ki and features a voiceover by Vijay Raj, which follows the same gravelly tone.
The 59-second clip shows off the ensemble cast comprising of SSR, who plays the role of a dacoit, along with impactful performances from Manoj Bajpayee, Bhumi Pedenekar and Ashutosh Rana as a cop. The promo makes it clear that the film will have some very intense action sequences using old school weaponry, making it look the more authentic. Be prepared to cover your ears as well, as the amount of swearing can make your ears bleed.
The most interesting part of the clip was when Vijay Raj said something on the voiceover, the footage showed a completely opposite scene. It was almost hilarious when Raj talks about peace and you see a bunch of hoodlums scaling a hill with guns. It’s like saying: This is how life is, and that’s how we roll.
Sonchiriya is set in the 1970s and is based on a small town that was dominated by dacoits, as they fought for territorial power. The film was shot in Madhya Pradesh and will release on March 1, 2019.Read More
