Shah Rukh Khan beats Salman Khan on Twitter’s ‘most followed Indians’ list
2017 is almost over and it’s that time of the year when we analyse who the real king of Bollywood is. If the number of followers our Bollywood stars have gained over Twitter is anything to go by, the list of top 10 most followed Indian accounts reveals the final winner. The ‘Baadshah’ of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan has surpassed the ‘Dabangg’ man Salman Khan. But SRK still isn’t number one. Holding pole position is Prime Minister Narendra Modi followed by Amitabh Bachchan.
While Shah Rukh Khan is in the third position with 30.9 million followers, Salman Khan holds the fourth position with 28.5 million followers. However, both of them have witnessed around 40% growth in the number of their followers in comparison with 2016 numbers. Last year, King Khan had approximately 22.1 million followers while Bhaijaan had 20.3 million followers. The corresponding numbers don’t come as SRK is more active on Twitter as compared to Salman Khan and clearly, that has worked in his favour.
The other stars who have made up to this list of top 10 most followed Indian accounts on Twitter are Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan and Deepika Padukone. Hrithik Roshan holds the ninth position.
On the work front, Salman Khan currently awaits the release of Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai‘. Shah Rukh Khan, on the other hand, is busy shooting for Aanand L Rai’s next venture where he shares the screen space with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. The trio was last seen together in Yash Chopra’s ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’.
