The steady friendship between Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan may not result into another movie anytime soon. It seems that while SRK has delayed the approval of a new script, the choreographer-director has decided to cast a younger actor in place of SRK in her next film. Reports suggest that the King Khan is not happy with quality of the script. After a series of flops, the superstar is probably choosing his scripts wisely.
Farah had made her directorial debut with Main Hoon Na and since then did not have to look beyond her close friend, Shah Rukh to cast in the male lead, obviously, with the exception of Tees Maar Khan. The friendship of both the Khans have been strong since the past two decades and Farah has cast SRK in all her films, namely Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om and Happy New Year.
However, it seems that the Badshaah of Bollywood is becoming cautious with the kind of films he is acting in. After a series of flops such as Dilwale, Fan, and Jab Harry Met Sejal, in the past three years, SRK seems to have realised that his fan-following will not translate into box-office hits. Therefore, it seems that Shah Rukh is not happy with the kind of movie that Farah has proposed for him.
While waiting for the King Khan, who is on a busy schedule, to give her a green signal, Farah has decided to cast a younger actor. "Farah has been busy with her TV shows of late... But once her show is over, she wants to start her film and hence has decided to look beyond Shah Rukh for the film. She had done it earlier with Tees Maar Khan, but failed because the film with Akshay Kumar flopped badly. This time she wants a younger actor in the film," a source told Deccan Chronicle.Given the developments between one of Bollywood’s closest friends, fans will have to wait a little longer before they can see Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Kahn team up to make a film again.
