Months after its release, Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's Stree might find itself amid an unwanted controversy. The film's joint producers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK were reportedly paid their share of profit by Dinesh Vijan. Stree was a joint venture under their respective banners of Maddock Films and D2R Films. The profit was supposed to be split in a 50-50 percentage but the producer duo who had active participation in all spheres of the film is yet awaiting the money.
“Stree is out and out Raj & DK’s creation. Whether it was writing the script, story and screenplay, getting Amar Kaushik (who had worked with them as first assistant director on Go Goa Gone) to direct the film or attaching Rajkummar Rao to star in it,” a source told The Quint. Reportedly, Dinesh Vijan found the project interesting and requested to join hands when Raj and DK were halfway through the film already. But they haven't received anything of their share of Rs 20 crore yet!

Stree, also featuring Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurrana in pivotal roles, not only did great business but received amazing reviews. So much that the audience requested for a sequel; and we hear there will be one. Till then, hope all monetary disputes are settled soon!
