The late Raghuvaran was the signature villain of the 90s in Kollywood. The versatile actor who had an iconic voice also did justice to each role that he played. Fans, however, knew very little of Raghuvaran’s singing abilities. According to a report published by Indian Express, a compilation of the late actor’s compositions was unveiled by Superstar Rajinikanth. Incidentally, Raghuvaran played one of his iconic characters, Mark Anthony opposite Rajinikanth.
The first copy of the album titled ‘Raghuvaran - a musical journey’ was received by his son Rishi and ex-wife Rohini. It has 6 English songs which have been both composed and penned by the late actor. According to an earlier report, the actor had started playing the guitar when he was eight old. The actor, who breathed his last in 2008 owing to health issues, had extensive knowledge of the piano as well.
Raghuvaran had a career spanning more than two decades and had acted in more than 200 films across various languages like Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi. He is known for his performances in films like Baasha, Samsaram Adhu Minsaram, Anjali, Kaadhalan and Mudhalvan among others. His last appearance was in Yaradi Nee Mohini starring Dhanush and Nayanthara where he essayed Dhanush’s father.
