In response to the ghastly terror attack in Kashmir’s Pulwama district, the Indian Air Force retaliated by dropping 1,000 kg bombs on Jaish-e-Mohammed training camps in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The attack was launched in the wee hours of Tuesday by 12 French Mirage 2000 fighter planes which crossed the Line of Control to enter Pakistan’s air space. Following the attack, several celebrities took to social media to hail the IAF including Bollywood actor and BJP leader Paresh Rawal. But while praising the government, he also took a sly dig at another celebrity.
It was when Pakistani singer and actor Ali Zafar lauded his country’s Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech and tweeted ‘What a speech’. This didn’t go down well with the Hera Pheri actor who put up a sarcasm-laden tweet directed at the singer and questioned his silence over the air strikes. “Now speechless!!!” he wrote reacting to a screenshot of a user who posted Zafar’s tweet.
Meanwhile Zafar, who has featured in multiple Bollywood films like Kill Dill, Chashme Baddoor among others, also received a ton of flak from Twitterati for voicing his support for Imran Khan’s speech. Many of them asked him not to come back to India again with others stating that this was the end of his Bollywood career.
