Tamannaah to act in the Hindi remake of ‘Jigarthanda’ along with Farhan Akthar and Sanjay Dutt
Tamannaah Bhatia is super busy these days as she is currently shooting for the Telugu remake of Bollywood hit ‘Queen’, titled ‘Queen Again’. Tamannaah also has a romantic drama opposite Sundeep Kishan in her kitty which will be Bollywood filmmaker Kunal Kohli’s directorial debut in Tollywood. The makers have already shot few scenes of the movie in London with the lead actors. Adding to this list Tamannaah has now reportedly signed a lead role in the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Jigarthanda’.
‘Jigarthanda’ is considered as one of the cult classics in Tamil cinema and was well lauded by both audiences and critics. The original film featured Siddharth and Bobby Simha in key roles and was directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
The yet-to-be-titled Hindi remake will be directed by Nishikanth Kamat. Reportedly, Sanjay Dutt will essay the don role portrayed by Booby Simha in ‘Jigarthanda’. While Tamannaah will essay the role played by Lakshmi Menon, Farhan Akthar will be seen playing the role played by Siddharth in the original.
The film will be jointly produced by Ajay Devgn and Abhinav Shukla. This is going to be the fourth remake in Tamannaah Bhatia’s career so far. Earlier, she worked in Queen and Himmatwala’s remake along with Tadakha which was the Telugu remake of Tamil action flick ‘Vettai’ starring R Madhavan.
