Actor Ranveer Singh is riding high on the success of his film Padmaavat. Both fans and critics alike have appreciated his role of Alauddin Khilji. Some have even gone on to say that it is Ranveer who is the backbone of the film. Padmaavat was Ranveer’s third film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the actor credits the ace director for bringing out the best in him. So according to Ranveer, what’s his favourite Bhansali act?
That’s exactly the question that was posed to him during an interaction with his fans on Twitter. The Gully Boy actor was asked by a film critic on which role, Bajirao or Khilji, was more satisfying? This landed Ranveer in a fix as he was left speechless. However, he appreciated the phenomenal response he got for his role and even undersigned his tweet with #khilji. So it could subtly mean that he thinks Khilji is by far his best act?
Ranveer Singh is currently shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy opposite Alia Bhatt. The film is inspired by the lives of street rappers Divine and Naezy. Ranveer will be seen playing the role of Vivian Fernandes a.k.a Divine. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Divine said, “Our story will finally be on the big screen and Ranveer Singh is the right guy to do it. I have hung out with him a couple of times, chilled out. He’s a great and talented guy, best choice for this film.”
The actor will also be seen stepping in the shoes of Kapil Dev for Kabir Khan’s ’83 World Cup and then later in December as a police officer in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba.
