Comedy is timeless, and franchises that have been supplying laughter dosage to the audience for a while now, seem to enjoy a dedicated fan base. Indra Kumar's Dhamaal franchise is one such. All the previous films have ranged anywhere between fair to good. The recently released Total Dhamaal starring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit and Arshad Warsi among others was no exception. It recorded the second biggest opening of the year, after Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's Gully Boy.
On its first day, Total Dhamaal has minted around Rs 16.25 crore, which can be called a good opening. After Gully Boy which had earned a little over Rs 20 crore on its opening day, this is the second highest opener of 2019 so far. At the same time, this is also Ajay Devgn's biggest non-holiday opener so far and has been also recorded as the biggest opener among all Indra Kumar films so far.

Ek Madhuri Sab Pe Bhaari!
The film witnessed strong footfall across Central India, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh among other places while collections in Delhi and Punjab were on the lower side. While Gully Boy and Uri continue to run in theares, Total Dhamaal needs to go steady at the box office and might score really high, especially at the mass markets.
