Anyone who thought that the trailer of Total Dhamaal would be a mad affair with too many elements was right. While one is yet to see how this multi starrer adventure comedy unfolds, there are a number of things about the trailer that you are going to love. Let's begin with the star cast. Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaafery and Arshad Warsi reprise their characters from the previous editions while Sanjay Mishra has rejoined after giving Double Dhamaal (the second edition) a miss.
All of these actors, a pro at the genre of comedy, seem to have done a wonderful job. Add to that the fact that Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit, once a superhit pair, will be seen sharing the screen after all these years. When it comes to humour quotient, like its other parts, Total Dhamaal seems to heavily rely on punchlines. Tushar Hiranandani, who also wrote Double Dhamaal, Paresh Rawal's Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge and Grand Masti among other films, has written the screenplay here. In the trailer, his one-liners partly work.
We get a very brief glimpse of Sonakshi Sinha, but she does look stunning. Sona is set to groove to Mungda from Inkaar, a song immortalised, thanks to Helen's unmatched appeal.
The trailer might also have a few takers for the VFX it showcases. At an age when Indian films are showcasing stunning VFX and in fact solely VFX-heavy films are raising the bar, this probably wasn't a part of the makers' priority list here. Furthermore, one might find the beginning a little abrupt.
However, knowing that the past two editions were commercially successful, the franchise certainly has a dedicated fan base and might be able to mint great money! Directed by Indra Kumar, Total Dhamaal releases on 22nd February.
