Fans could not keep calm when the trailer of Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon's film Luka Chuppi made it to the internet. The twisted love story managed to impress the audience via trailer. However, its songs failed to do the same. While Bollywood’s new craze of recreating old songs is not going to end anytime soon. After presenting recreated songs like Poster Lagwa Do and Photo, the makers have now released yet another recreated version, Tu Laung Main Elaachi. This one is a reprised version of a hit Punjabi chartbuster titled as Laung Laachi that sees actress Neeru Bajwa.
Sung by Tulsi Kumar and re-composed by Tanishk Bagchi, the song starts with the lead pair insisting a pandit to help them get married but turns out to be a failed attempt. Straight after the scene, follows some thumkaas by Kriti Sanon where we see the couple pretending to be hitched and entertaining their family members. While the original punjabi song is full of feels, the recreated version's soundtrack is rather boring. Adding to it is Kriti's expression and dance moves which are not at all pleasing. The one person who deserves a mention though is Pankaj Tripathi. It is so nice to see him dancing. Especially after him playing intense roles in his ventures like Mirzapur, it is definitely refreshing to see this fun side of Mr Tripathi.
Apart from the leads and Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Vinay Pathak also have a pivotal role to play in Luka Chuppi which hits the theatres on March 1.
