The mystery around the forthcoming Rakesh Sharma biopic is never-ending. It all started with Aamir Khan walking out of the venture and handing it over to Shah Rukh Khan. However, SRK’s arrival did no good as he too chose to back out from the project. With so many speculations doing the rounds, we learnt that Zero’s debacle had something to do with his last moment decision to walk out. That being said, an exclusive report in Bollywood Hungama states that Vicky Kaushal has come on board as a replacement for SRK.
We won’t be surprised if this turns out to be true because Vicky Kaushal is currently enjoying the best phase of his career. The actor had a memorable 2018 with super hits like Sanju and Raazi. Well, 2019 has begun on a phenomenal note for the star as the supremely talented Vicky has delivered the first 100 crore film of 2019 – URI: The Surgical Strike. What adds to the speculations is the fact that Rakesh Sharma was only 35-year-old when he made his historic journey to the moon and Vicky would be the ideal choice to play the part. However, there hasn’t been any official confirmation on his casting.
It was only recently when the supposed producer of this biopic, Ronnie Screwvala in his cryptic tweet, took an ‘indirect’ dig at Shah Rukh Khan. In the tweet, Ronnie stated that a person who takes a risk should stick with it. Well, he didn’t direct it towards a specific person but it got people talking. King Khan, are you listening?
