Actor Alok Nath's on-screen Sanskari image was exposed when writer-producer Vinta Nanda accused him of raping her nearly two decades back when they were colleagues at the popular TV show Tara. While Nath vehemently denied all allegations, he was eventually expelled from CINTAA. Ironically enough, his next release Main Bhi (Me Too in Hindi), which he shot for a while back, revolves around sexual harassment and will feature him as a judge with a strong stand against such crimes.
Vinta Nanda, however, couldn't be more indifferent. She is rather all emotional about IAF pilot Abhinandan who is to be handed over to India on Friday. "I don't know what to say. When I heard about this ironical casting my mind, my heart and soul was with Wing Commander Varthaman Abhinandan. I couldn't keep my eyes off the television screen because I wanted to see him as he stepped on Indian soil today," she told IANS.
Vinta, earlier, had said she was ready to forgive Nath if he apologised for his crime. That didn't happen. Instead, Nath threatened to take legal actions her. But looks like she is quite over it. "This piece of news about Alok Nath acting in a film is irrelevant and has no effect upon what is actually going on in my heart," she added.Read More
