Salman Khan is gearing up for his big release of the year, Tiger Zinda Hai. While the song Swag Se Swagat already blew the bugle to tell us there will be plenty of swag in thriller drama, director Ali Abbas Zafar shared a few insights on how his lead beefed up for the role of an Indian secret agent.
"Salman has really pushed himself for the part. It is incredible and inspiring to see the biggest superstar of the country go through the grind every single day to maintain the awe-inspiring fitness levels that he has for Tiger,” Zafar told Zoom TV. Working hard to embrace a particular body is not new to the man who is best known for dropping his shirt on screen. He did it in 1998 for Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya and has not stopped ever since.

His director boasted of the star’s preparedness for the role as he specially trained in high altitude to be able to perform stunts in the Alps but it did not stop there. "Salman had trained, actually, we should say he has killed himself for about 3 months at the gym before the shoot began. During the shoot, be it the middle of a desert or on top of the snow-capped mountains; Salman was training every day. He used to ride his cycle to the set and we all know it’s not easy to cycle in such harsh environments. He used to easily ride for more than 10 kilometres every-day to get to the set. He had worked out his own exercise regime given the limited options.”
His exercises were supported by his extensively scrutinized diet where cheat day came only on the last day of the shoot. “Salman’s diet was incredible. His diet kept him light and agile and he paid minute attention to whatever he was eating. The cheat day came in the last schedule of Greece!” continued Zafar.For these many reasons and many more, we can’t wait to see Bhaijaan brace the screen on December 22.
