Rani Mukerji is making her comeback in Bollywood after a while with Siddharth P Malhotra’s film Hichki. Produced by Maneesh Sharma, Hichki is a film that plans to entertain viewers of all age groups. Rani will be playing the role of Naina Mathur, the protagonist who has a nervous system disorder, Tourette syndrome that forces an individual to make involuntary repetitive movements or sounds. The filmmakers chose a unique way to promote their film. They went around asking personalities about their greatest weaknesses which they converted to strengths.
Recently the makers of the film have released a video on the making of the Oye Hichki track. The video portrays how everyone can overcome their drawbacks or hichkis to move forward in life. The video shows shots with several local children who have their own set of unique talents. Rani Mukerji is seen clapping as she listens to a local rapper. To keep up with the energetic spirit of the song, the cast was encouraged to pick up whatever they found close at hand – tubs, empty cans etc and make noise with them.
The song portrays all the various types of challenges and discriminations people face every day. There’s a girl in the video who is fond of dancing but she has a wooden foot. Despite that, she is still pursuing her dream.
