When Ranbir Kapoor received career advice from a cop...
Box office debacles did not leave Ranbir Kapoor alone for quite a long time until his last release Sanju, the biopic of actor Sanjay Dutt, did smashing business at the box office. From Bombay Velvet to Roy and Besharam, the number of films that didn't do him any good is not less. Much has also been said and written about how his selection of films was not working out. It looks like the audience and the critics weren't the only ones with a similar opinion!
Ranbir, who was present at the 2019 chapter of Mumbai Police's annual show Umang, revealed how a random policeman once halted him on the road and advised him on films! "A few years back, a film of mine tanked at the box office. A policeman one day stopped my car and saw that it was me inside. He first clicked a picture with me. For the next half n hour, he gave me a lecture on how I was doing wrong films and how I should be playing a policeman on the big screen," the actor said.

Lol...quite spontaneous of the policeman who thought that the josh of his profession would fuel up Ranbir's career. Ranbir also admitted that in his career which spans over a decade now, he was never been offered a cop film!
Don't know if anyone is going to offer him a cop film now, but his forthcoming film Brahmastra is just as power-packed, also starring his girlfriend Alia Bhatt. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is slated to hit the screens on 2019 Christmas.
