While Padmavati garners negative publicity, others try to cash on it!
Padmavati is delving more and more into controversies with each passing day. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus project is attracting even grander attention. While ministers are grabbing the opportunity to turn it into a political issue, few others are coming up with ideas to mint money out of it.
If you are one of those who are excited to watch the film then here is a chance for you to watch it for free!
Idea cellular has collaborated with Paytm by offering a free ticket of Padmavati if you link the Idea sim to your Aadhaar Card. You will get a movie voucher worth Rs 250. This voucher then can be redeemed on Paytm to book a ticket for the film.
This offer will be available only to those users who will link their SIM to Aadhaar before 24th November and is applicable for both postpaid and prepaid users. Also, the vouchers are only for 20,000 users. After linking, a lucky draw will be drawn and the winners will be informed on November 29 via a text message.
However, Aruna Sundararajan, secretary, department of telecommunications (DoT), said on November 8, the government will not disconnect mobile connections if not linked with Aadhaar.
The Supreme Court is yet to pass a judgement on the issue where people have Aadhaar, but do not want to link it with their mobile number. “We are also working on alternatives for people who are abroad (to help them link their mobile number with Aadhaar),” Sundararajan said.
Also given the recent scenario, the makers have postponed the release of the film which stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead. It was originally slated to release on December 1 but now the next date hasn’t been announced. Read More
