The year 2019 started with a bang for Bollywood as the first few releases of the year, namely Uri: The Surgical Strike and the latest release Gully Boy, opened to good numbers at the box-office. That said, upcoming films have a lot to match up to. In the near future, we have a number of movies lined up for release and one of them is director Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal. The trailer of the film was well received by the audiences and we are gearing up to see the sizzling jodi of Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit Nene once again on the silver screen. But there seems to be trouble in paradise. Our sources tell us that everything is not so hunky-dory oand it looks like the actors of the film aren’t on good terms with each other.
The Indra Kumar directorial venture is a multi-starrer and has Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Riteish Deshmukh and others in pivotal roles. The makers of the film are leaving no stone unturned to promote the film which is all set to hit the screens on February 22. But these promotions aren't going as planned because the on-screen chemistry between the stars is not reflecting off-screen. According to sources, the stars have been promoting the film separately. While Anil and Madhuri formed one team, Ajay, Indra, and Riteish formed another and were seen promoting the film separately. We hear the big stars, namely Anil and Madhuri, do not want to share the promotional activity with the others while Ajay, who is also one of the producers of the film, is on the opinion that the team should indulge in promotions together.
When we reached out to the Total Dhamaal team for a comment on this divisional promotional strategy, they denied the news stating that promotions are being carried out separately as the film is a multi-starrer and an issue of date cropped up. Apparently, the whole star cast was not available together and therefore promotions can't have them together. They also mentioned that the team is currently in Delhi together promoting the film ahead of its release.
In the wake of the recent Pulwama terror attacks, the makers of the film on Monday announced that the film will not be released across the border and Ajay Devgn took to Twitter to share the news.
