A possible reunion for 'Spice Girls' in 2018
The most famous British pop culture of the 90’s is all set for a reunion in 2018. All five members - including Victoria Beckham – will come together for a TV special and brand new album after years of rumors.
The girls’ group members Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Horner née Halliwell l last got together for a special performance at the London 2012 Olympic closing ceremony. And now, all the members of the band have decided to reunite.
The group which was formed in the year 1994, is known for its hit songs like ‘Wannabe’, ‘Spice up your life’, ‘Viva Forever’, ‘Stop’ and ‘Who do you think you are’. But they became a global icon with their debut single ‘Wannabe’ in 1996. The debut album, which was released in the same year became the best-selling album in the history. They are the best-selling female group of all time, with sales records of 85 million.
“The five of them have been locked in secret talks since the summer, and finally they are all on-board for a 2018 reunion. As it stands, they will be working together on a series of projects, which will include an album and a TV special celebrating the Spice Girls. And getting Victoria to agree has been a coup for everyone involved, given she has always been the person holding back on a reunion,” a source told the sun.co.uk.
The reunion has been on the cards for years. Horner, a driving force behind- recently told Red Magazine that she'd "given up" trying.
