Alec Baldwin recently revealed that he is concerned about the safety of his family after US President Donald Trump tweeted about a possible ‘retribution’. Trump’s comments came in the wake of Baldwin’s satirical performance on Saturday Night Live, where he parodied of the president’s call to declare an emergency to carry on with his plans for a border wall. Baldwin has been portraying Trump on the show ever since he became president.
Baldwin’s latest parody ticked off the president. True to his usual self, Trump took his megaphone (aka Twitter) and blasted the actor. He charged that there was nothing amusing about the show, which is aired on ‘Fake News NBC.’ The man then wondered how ‘Networks get away with these total Republican hit jobs without retribution?’ Following Trump’s outburst, Baldwin wondered on Twitter if the president is ‘exhorting his followers’ into believing him could result in a threat to his family.
Replying to Baldwin, the president’s son Donald Trump Jr tweeted that the actor’s claims of being afraid of his safety were bullsh*t and that he should spare everyone of it. To that, Baldwin gave a bitter reply, suggesting that Trump Jr would have “a lot of time to watch SNL” from behind bars.
