The heroes of the MCU took some very heavy losses due to the schemes against Thanos. One of the biggest shocks in Avengers: Infinity War was the dramatic confrontation between the Mad Titan and his adopted daughter Gamora (Zoe Saldana) on the planet Vorimir, where he sought to obtain the Soul Stone.
Events took a dramatic turn and fans of the Guardians of the Galaxy are worried that things would never be the same again. Now Avengers: Endgame has hit cinemas, the survivors of Thanos' plots can be seen working together to try and defeat him and undo his murderous actions. But where does Gamora fit into all of this?

Here is the lowdown on Gamora's role in Avengers: Endgame, but warning, there are spoilers ahead.
*Spoiler warning for Avengers: Endgame*
Whether you have seen the film or not, we do ask that for others who haven't seen it and don't want to know what happens, Do Not Spoil The Endgame . Avengers Endgame: What happens with Gamora?
Sadly, Gamora's death in Avengers: Infinity War is not undone in Avengers: Endgame. Her death on Vorimir still stands and no time travel or Infinity Stone use stops this from happening. However, due to time travel, a past version of Gamora from 2014 - the early period of the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie - ends up in the present day timeline along with past versions of Thanos and Nebula.
While the rest of the past timeline versions of these characters no longer remain in the present at the end of the film, Gamora does and has no memory but some knowledge of the events the dead Gamora lived through. Past-Gamora disappears at the end of the film, prompting the Guardians of the Galaxy - especially Star-Lord/Peter Quill - to be intent on finding her. So, we'll probably see her again in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Avengers: Endgame is in cinemas now.
