BAFTA 2019: Kate Middleton in a white gown and Princess Diana's earrings was a sight to behold
Kate Middleton made head turn at BAFTA.
While Grammys 2019 is taking away all the limelight, let's give a little attention to BAFTA 2019. The 72nd British Film Academy Awards that took place in London last evening was no less glamorous as it had the presence of the royal couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge walked in hand-in-hand as they looked perfect to the T. While Prince was a gentleman in a suit, it was Middleton who looked like an angel dropped from heaven in a white gown.
Kate wore a one-shoulder white gown by Alexander McQueen and paired it with glittery Jimmy Choo pumps. The highlight though was her earrings. Kate chose a pair of diamond-studded earrings from Princess Diana's collection. That led Twitterati to appreciate her highness' look from BAFTA and draw parallels between her and Princess Diana.
These dramatic pearl drop earrings designed in 1914 were said to be Princess Diana's favourite. On many occassions, Princess had worn these ones along with her favourite tiara.

With some appreciation, there came some fan war too. Fans of Meghan Markle (who often gets in trouble with the moral police for exposing too much since she is a ‘royal’) tried to troll the Duchess of Cambridge and got an earful from her fans.
Apart from the royals, BAFTA 2019 saw the likes of Rami Malik, Salma Hayek, Olivia Colman, Margot Robbie and many more.
