Getting inked and adding a new word to your body in another language can sometimes be a hit or miss affair. Unfortunately, seems like everyone’s favourite singer Ariana Grande fell into the 'miss' category and got caught in a tattoo trap of sorts. If you love a good BBQ grill then you will be happy to hear that the Love Me Harder singer is serving you a hot meal. LOL! It so happened that on Tuesday Ariana Instagrammed a picture of her new Japanese palm tattoo which she got with the intention of celebrating her latest hit single 7 Rings. But the Japanese letters on the tattoo, which were intended to spell the name of her song, means something else altogether. Reportedly, Grande’s new tattoo read “barbecue grill,” instead of 7 rings. WHAAT!
Ariana was quick enough to delete the IG post, but social media exists for a reason and users were in no mood to spare the singer. Internet started brewing with hilarious takes on Grande's tattoo and she was roasted left, right, and center. Later Grande took to her Twitter and shared an update that an error had been made, as another letter has been accidentally omitted from the tattoo.
So Ariana, here's our two pence worth of advice. The next time you visit a tattoo parlour, make sure you know how to read the language you are getting inked with. Thank you, Next!
