Controversies and Chris Brown go hand in hand. While the case of Brown assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna is still fresh, here’s another accusation on the singer. According to a French Judicial's report to CNN, Brown has been detained by the police officials in Paris following a serious suspicion of rape. The singer is being held, with other two people, in custody after a woman filed a rape complaint against them. The arrest took place on Monday and the singer is still in custody. If sources are to be believed, the other two people in question are Brown’s bodyguard and his friend.
Reportedly, the woman who has accused the singer said she met Brown and his friends at the club Le Crystal in the 17th arrondissement of northwestern Paris on January 15. She further added that they all went to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel near the Concorde Plaza in central Paris where Brown invited several other women. Later in the evening, the woman found herself alone in a room with Brown and his bodyguard. She has accused both of them of raping her.
This is not the first time Brown has had a run-in with the law. It was in 2009 when the singer pleaded guilty to felony assault for harassing his former partner and singer Rihanna. In 2013, Brown struck a man outside a Washington DC hotel and was charged with misdemeanour. He was ordered to seek rehab but was expelled from the centre for violating its rules. In addition to that, Chris was arrested in the year 2016 after he was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
