Chris Hemsworth all set to step into the ring for the Hulk Hogan biopic
Chris Hemsworth, popular for his role as Thor in the Marvel Universe’s Avengers, is all set to take over the wrestling ring with his solid kicks and punches. The star is all set to step into the shoes of wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan. According to a report in The Hollywood Reporter, the untitled film will be helmed by Todd Philips, who is popular for directing The Hangover trilogy. Joining him will be Scott Silver, who is co-writing and directing the upcoming DC Comics movie – The Joker. Reportedly, among many other names, the film will be produced by Bradley Cooper and it is most likely to be premiered on Netflix.
The report further adds that Hemsworth will play Hogan’s role during his early years and the film’s storyline won’t include his controversies that happened outside of the ring, including his legal feud with Gawker. As soon as the news went viral, netizens couldn’t be more elated as they took over the internet, expressing their excitement. However, the most excited person seemed to be Hemsworth’s good friend and Captain America actor, Chris Evans. He tweeted saying that this might the best news he has heard. Ahh! We won’t be surprised if Evans ends up fighting it out at the ring with Hemsworth, which means we will be even more excited if he, too, is roped in.
Coincidently, it was during the month of August 2013, when Hulk Hogan wanted Chris Hemsworth to play his character in a movie. Well, wishes do come true!
