A new Harry Potter series? Say when and I’ll get the popcorn ready! Though JK Rowling faced criticism of late due to her sharing constant tidbits of the Boy Who Lived, there are still many out there who would love a reboot of the series. In a recent interview with IGN, Daniel Radcliffe, who played the role of Harry Potter in the movies, was asked about his thoughts of a reboot of the franchise.
“I’m sure there will be some other version of it; I know I’m not the last Harry Potter I’m gonna see in my lifetime – we’ve already got a few more,” he told IGN. Radcliffe was referring to Jamie Parker and Gareth Reeves’ stage play titled Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage-play. “It will be interesting to see how long those films stay… it feels like there’s a sacredness around them at the moment, but that’ll go, the shine will wear off at some point. It’ll be interesting if they reboot them and just do the films again or do a series; I’m fascinated to watch,” added Radcliffe.

Speaking about a possible series, Radcliffe said that it would be ‘very cool’ to have a series on the Marauders. “A series with the older generation, that could be very cool,” he said. The Harry Potter series had a number of characters known for their ability to cause mayhem. The Marauders were one of them. Interestingly, Harry’s father James, was part of that group.
