The beautiful Deepika Padukone has been a cover girl for almost all leading magazines of India and beyond. With the unmatched charm that she possesses, you can believe Deepika to amp up the glamour quotient anytime and anyhow. Let alone her live appearance or her films, even the photos she poses for are lively and speaks volumes. This one particular cover that we are talking about, however, is extra special. Have you come across Vogue International's latest cover yet?
What first struck us was how gorgeous the actor looked in her floral print dress. She shares the cover with Hollywood actor Scarlett Johansson of Avengers: Endgame fame and South Korean actor and photographer Bae Doona who attained global fame after acting in films such as Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, The Host and Air Doll. It is to be noted that the three ladies have gone floral with their dresses for the cover. Their floral hairdo is working wonders too. This particular issue, is a celebration of global talent and its pages will feature superstars from 14 countries. As husband Ranveer promoted Gully Boy, Deepika was off to Paris for reasons unknown. We now wonder if this was the purpose!
Additionally, as it reads, this edition will have Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour pay tribute to legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld who passed away in February 2019. Karl, who took his last breathe at 85, was the creative director of Chanel and Fendi, a game changer in global fashion and one of the most respected designers across the globe. Vogue, alongside other fashion houses and magazines, mourned the loss of the icon.
"Today, the world lost a giant among men. His creative genius was breathtaking and to be his friend was an exceptional gift. Karl was brilliant, he was wicked, he was funny, he was generous beyond measure, and he was deeply kind. I will miss him so very much," a statement from Anna Wintour read.
And a fashionable tribute could be the best thing they could probably give Lagerfeld.
