Demi Lovato, who had been in the rehab after her drug overdose, was slowly getting back to normal. She came back on social media and was spreading positivity with all her inspiring words. But trouble came looking for her when she made fun of the rapper, 21 Savage. For the uninitiated, the rapper whose real name is Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph has been arrested for being illegally present in the United States. He now poses a threat of deportation. Soon, memes and jokes around 21 Savage took over the internet, engulfing Demi, who could not stop commenting on one of the memes. However, she received backlash for the same.
Quite a few netizens criticised Demi for making fun of a sensitive issue like this. Some took a dig at Demi's addiction to drugs. The criticisers included rapper Offset who indirectly targetted Demi by saying that memes around 21 Savage 'ain't funny'. So, perhaps, Demi got frustrated will all the negativity and decided to quit Twitter. As per E!News, one of her tweets read, "F--k Twitter. This is why I don't tweet anymore."
Later, Demi took to Instagram to clarify herself and said that she wasn't laughing at someone being deported. Check her IG Story.
As of now, Demi is off Twitter now and we aren't sure if she is going to make a comeback soon.
