Despacito makes it to the top of another list. Ever since the song was uploaded in January this year, it has become a worldwide sensation breaking many records. Now the music video has emerged as YouTube’s most watched music video of 2017 with over 4.4 billion views. The video has finally surpassed Psy’s 2013 released ‘Gangnam Style’ to become the only video to top the 4-billion views threshold.
YouTube released its annual rewind feature, which includes the most watched and trending videos of 2017 and Despacito took just 204 days to become the most-watched video in YouTube history. Unsurprisingly, Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ landed the No. 2 spot with more than 2.8 billion views. In third place, J Balvin and Willy William’s ‘Mi Gente’ has recorded nearly 1.4 billion views.
The other music videos that made it to the YouTube’s Top 10 ranking includes works from Maluma, Bruno Mars, Chris Jeday, Nicky Jam, Jason Derulo, Dj Khaled and Spanish artist Enrique Iglesias.
