The first full trailer of Nick Park’s stop-motion prehistoric adventure comedy film, Early Man is here. After his successful movies like 'Wallace and Gromit' and 'Chicken Run', 'Early Man' brings together an all-star British cast to tell a prehistoric tale for a 21st-century audience. The movie reteams Aardman and Studiocanal after 2015’s hit ‘Shaun The Sheep Movie', which grossed $106M worldwide.
The lead character, plucky caveman Dug, who along with his best friend Hognob, must unite their tribe against a mighty enemy Lord Nooth and his Bronze Age city to save their home. Leading Dug’s tribe of lovable misfits is Chief Bobnar who is joined by Treebor, Magma, Asbo, Barry, Gravelle, Eemak and Grubup. Goona, the gallant and indomitable rebel, befriends Dug and helps the tribe in its battle. The movie features the voices of Eddie Redmayne, Maisie Williams, and Tom Hiddleston. Joining them in the voice acting department are Timothy Spall, Richard Ayoade, Selina Griffiths, Johnny Vegas, Rob Brydon, Miriam Margolyes, and Kayvan Novak.
Studiocanal co-finances Early Man alongside the BFI, and will distribute in its own territories: the UK, France, Germany, Australia and New Zealand, selling worldwide. Lionsgate boarded U.S. rights in May and has set a February 16 release date. Studiocanal opens Early Man on January 26 in the UK.
