Looks like Ed Sheeran has found a way to perfect his ‘Perfect’ from the hit album ‘Divide’ by clubbing with Beyoncé for an acoustic version of the song. Originally released on Sheeran's Divide album, the love ballad just got a million times better, simply by adding Bey to the track. Ed seems to have found the secret formula to making an already great song, greater. On Thursday morning, Sheeran teased the news on Instagram.
Beyonce comes in on the second verse, swapping the lyrics' genders with support of choral background vocals, and then is joined by Sheeran partway through the second chorus. But fans know this isn't the first time the pair has blended their voices with one another. They performed a Stevie Wonder tribute together back in 2015. And later that year, Bey and Sheeran sang ‘Drunk In Love’ at the Global Citizens Festival. The superstars shared the spotlight for the duet, with Sheeran opening up the song by singing the first verse and chorus over light acoustic guitar picking and organ backing. Basically, they're old pals at this point, but that doesn't make any new collaboration any less exciting. This is Beyonce's third surprise feature of the fall, following ‘Mi Gente’ with J Balvinand Willy William, as well as Eminem's ‘Walk On Water.’ But we to admit, this is the best collab we’ve heard in recent times. When two of your favourites unite for ‘Perfect’, it totally lives up to the name.
