Ellen DeGeneres is planning to leave The Ellen DeGeneres Show
Ellen DeGeneres is known for her amazing celebrity talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show. It is clearly one of the longest running talk shows. But here’s a news that would make the fans of Ellen a bit sad. The talk show host recently revealed that she has been planning to leave the show. She made this revelation while talking to The New York Times. She revealed that while her brother Vance DeGeneres thinks that she should continue the show, her wife Portia de Rossi wants her to try her hands on other things and work on other projects that she is passionate about.
Ellen’s wife told The New York Times, “I just think she’s such a brilliant actress and standup that it doesn’t have to be this talk show for her creativity... there are other things she could tackle.” The 60-year-old is producing many projects including Nancy Drew And The Hidden Staircase. She will be hosting a game show named Ellen's Game of Games and Netflix on December 18, 2018 will release her first stand-up comedy special, Ellen DeGeneres: Relatable. It was recently when she extended her contract with the makers of the show until the summer of 2020, but when declining the contract was also on the mind.
