A fan page dedicated to Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage recently revealed on social media, the run times of all of the episodes of Season 8, the final edition of the series. It turns out that the duration of the episodes is among the longest in the history of the series. According to a viral Instagram post, it was revealed that the running time for each of the episodes ranged between 60 and 80 minutes.
It was earlier reported that the final season will have the least amount of episodes. For Season 8, the total run time of all episodes goes over seven hours. According to the post, the first two episodes are about an hour long, while the rest stretch to about 80 minutes. HBO’s programming president Casey Bloys reportedly dismissed rumours last year, of the final season’s episodes running for two hours.
After a year’s break – the last GOT episode was released in 2017 – the makers are ready to continue and conclude the story in 2019. Recently the makers released a trailer, showing the Stark children walking in the crypt under Winterfell as voices of their family played in the background. The presence of three tombs led to speculation among fans about which Stark was going to die.
While we are all pumped about the long duration of the episodes, it is worth noting that the info was shared by an unverified account going by the handle peterdinklage. For whatever it is worth, we'd take this news with a pinch of salt.
