Gwyneth Paltrow to bid adieu to the Marvel Universe after Avengers: Endgame
All the Avenger fans, here’s something you weren’t really wanting to hear. Gwyneth Paltrow is known for her role of Pepper Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Avengers. However, the actor now plans to disassociate herself from the franchise where she is seen as Iron Man’s love interest. Reason? The 46-year-old actor feels she has gone past the age of pretending to be an action hero. In an interview to Variety, Gwyneth spilt the beans on her retirement plans from MCU and how Avengers: Endgame is most likely to be her last Marvel outing.
Gwyneth said, “I mean, I’m a bit old to be in a suit and all that at this point. I feel very lucky that I did it because I actually got talked into it. I was friends with (Iron Man director) Jon Favreau. It was such a wonderful experience making the first ‘Iron Man’ and then to watch how important it has become to the fans.” She further added, “I feel honored to be a part of something that people are so passionate about. Of course, if they said, ‘Can you come back for a day?’ I will always be there if they need me.” Well, we wonder how Iron Man will do without his ladylove.
