Johnny Depp's spat with former wife Amber Heard has taken quite an ugly turn. Amber, last year, accused him of domestic abuse, only to be sued for Rs $50 million of defamation. As per latest reports, Depp's team is now coming up with pieces of evidence that suggest it was, in fact, he who underwent abuse. It is alleged that Heard punched Depp on his fingers and also chopped one of his fingers. Footages of surveillance cameras, 17 depositions of witnesses, all in Depp's favour, have been reportedly submitted to the court.
Meanwhile, Depp's Hollywood Vampires comrade Alice Cooper has come out in strong support of Depp. “All the stuff you heard last year about Johnny, 99 percent was just bull. I’ve never seen him look better in my life. I’ve never seen him happier. I’ve never heard him play better, and the way the press would have it is he’s a total destruction and ready to die. Totally not true," he said, dismissing rumours of Depp having caused any abuse to Amber.
Cooper isn't the first one to have lent support to Depp. Earlier, author JK Rowling also defended his presence in the Fantastic Beasts. “Based on our understanding of the circumstances, the filmmakers and I are not only comfortable sticking with our original casting, but genuinely happy to have Johnny playing a major character in the movies," she said.
Amber, earlier, wrote an Op-Ed
for Washington Post, recalling the alleged abuse she went through while being married to Depp.
