Universal studios have dropped the behind-the-scenes video from the all new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, giving us all a glimpse of what we can expect. The 2.45-minute video not only includes the cast and crew of the upcoming blockbuster sequel talking about the film, but it also includes clips of rampaging dinosaurs, volcano and nail-biting scenes from the movie.
The behind the scene trailer features Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt, and director JA Bayona. All hint at the spectacle that awaits audiences in the sequel to 2015’s Jurassic World release. “This story takes dinosaurs and takes Jurassic where it’s never gone before,” Howard says, with the effect being, at least in part, that the island of Isla Nublar is no longer going to be the setting for the series after this installment. From the video, it seems the movie is following a more horror-centric approach than any other film in the franchise. The makers have also given fans a foretaste into the use of animatronics in the film.
Chris Pratt, who will be seen reprising the role as Brady again, says, “The Jurassic movies have always been suspenseful and exciting.”
“The challenge of making a sequel is finding the right balance between what people are expecting and what people will be surprised by,” director Bayona says at one point, while Howard promises, “It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before.”
“In this Jurassic World, you will see more dinosaurs than you have ever seen before,” says a producer.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is scheduled for a June 22, 2018, release.
