The recent horrific attack on actor Jussie Smollett’s sent shock waves across the world. The Empire famed star faced a homophobic attack in Chicago a couple of days back, soon after he left a Subway restaurant and was heading back towards his apartment. Reports suggest that the attackers yelled out racial and homophobic slurs at the actor and also tied a rope around his neck. However, new reports shed more light on the incident.
Daily Mail reports that the attackers were reportedly dressed in black and used their teeth, as well as hands and feet to attack the 36-year-old actor. Jussie was treated in hospital for lacerations on his face. The report adds that Smollett wasn’t able to ‘provide any other distinguishable features of the offenders’ as the primary attacker was wearing a black mask. We also got our hands on another piece of news by Variety that says that Smollett "did not want to report the offence however he believed it to be in the best interest to.”
Just recently, Smollett opened up about the incident at the Troubadour in West Hollywood. "I was bruised but my ribs were not cracked; they were not broken. I went to the doctor immediately... I was not hospitalised. And above all: I fought the f-back," he said on stage.
