Everyone who has been following the English electronic music group The Prodigy would be quite shocked to know that the frontman of the band, Keith Flint, has passed away. According to a report in The Guardian, he was found dead at his house in Essex. The 49-year-old was found dead when the police arrived at his residence. Though Flint’s death is not being considered suspicious currently, the police is still preparing a file for the coroner to look into for future reference.
A spokesperson of the police stated that they got a call about concerns of a man's welfare at Brook Hill, North End. “We attended and, sadly, a 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed," the spokesperson added. The official twitter handle of the band, The Prodigy, also tweeted about their big loss. They tweeted, “It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint. A true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will be forever missed. We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time.”
Flint first joined The Prodigy as a dancer and then went on to lead the band along with rapper Maxim. He has sung the band’s two biggest hits - Firestarter and Breathe. Both the songs topped the charts in 1996.
Ranveer Singh, who follows the band on the Twitter, took to Instagram to showcase his sadness on the singer’s death. On his Insta story, he posted a picture of Keith Flint and wrote, “The immortal Firestarter.”
