Social media star and cosmetics mogul Kylie Jenner said she’s ‘self-made’, making quite a few people unhappy about it. The 21-year-old was on the cover pages of Forbes for being close to becoming the youngest self-made billionaire. Speaking to Paper magazine on their Transformation issue, Jenner defended her title, saying that “the self-made thing is true.” She added that she used up all her money to start off Kylie Cosmetics, a brand which is reportedly worth $900 million.
The young mother told Paper that her mother Kris Jenner and her dad Caitlyn Jenner had cut her off when she was aged 15. She claims that her parents have never supported her financially since then. When Forbes called her ‘self-made’ a lot of people were mad. But here’s why Kylie stands by that tag. "My parents told me I needed to make my own money, it's time to learn how to save and spend your own money, stuff like that," she said. "What I'm trying to say is I did have a platform, but none of my money is inherited."
"I don't define myself by how much I have," Jenner said. "I honestly don't wake up even thinking about it." Speaking of the speculations of her being engaged or even married to boyfriend Travis Scott, Kylie said that she’ll let people know when that happens.
