Hollywood actor Liam Neeson suffered a loss over the weekend as his nephew, who had injured his head five years ago, breathed his last. Ronan Sexton, son of Neeson’s sister Bernadette, had injured his head after suffering a 20-foot fall, reports said. He died aged 35 in Cushendall, Northern Ireland, in the presence of his family. The tragedy occurred ten years after Neeson lost his wife, Natasha Richardson, who had also suffered a head injury in a skiing accident.
According to reports, Natasha fell while training on beginners’ slope at a resort in Quebec. Ronan, on the other hand, is thought to have injured himself in a drunken prank which turned fatal. The youngest of Bernadette’s children, he fell 20 feet from a phonebox in July 2014. British news outlet Mirror quoted a police official at the time as saying, "Just after 4 am on Sunday a man climbed on top of a telephone kiosk outside Brighton Pier when he fell some 20ft to the ground, sustaining a serious head injury."

The publication added that Ronan was put into an induced coma so that the doctors could stabilize him. A source close to the family told the outlet that the actor was ‘very close to all his nephews.’
