The soon-to-be-mother Meghan Markle recently treated one of her buddies to a brunch. Daniel Martin, a makeup artist, was in London over the weekend and he used the opportunity to meet up with his friend, the Duchess of Sussex. Their meal, as shared by Martin, included a generous helping of tea (of course) and chocolate truffles. Added to the twist was some smashed avocado on toast. Martin, who calls Meghan an ‘avocado toast whisperer’, gave the world a look at his friend’s hosting skills at the Kensington Palace.
The guest thanked his friend for the meal and called her a ‘consummate hostess.’ His Instagram post had the caption ‘Back to our Tig days.’ If you’re wondering what he meant, ‘Tig’ is a shoutout to Meghan’s now-defunct lifestyle blog known as The Tig – back when she was an actress on Suits. The Mirror reported that Meghan’s cutlery included a stoneware teapot designed by Soho Farmhouse. Word has it that the former actress had a spa-themed hen-do at Soho before her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.

Back to our Tig days...❤️ Thank you Meghan for being the consummate hostess this weekend and still being the #avocadotoast whisperer, YUM! 🤷🏻♂️ 🥑🍞☕️ #foodie #foodiegram
Meghan happens to be one of Martin’s ‘loyal clients’. Reports said that he had worked on her makeup for her wedding to Prince Harry. It was good to see that Meghan hasn’t lost her cooking skills in the midst of all her royal engagements. The 37-year-old had travelled to Dubbo, New Zealand where she gifted the locals a homemade banana bread.
