Oscar winner Morgan Freeman is part of an exciting new project! As per a report in the Deadline, Freeman has now been officially signed on for the sequel to The Hitman’s Bodyguard, the super hit action comedy flick which stars Deadpool‘s fame Ryan Reynolds and Captain Marvel fame Samuel L Jackson. Going by the reports, the upcoming instalment will see the previous characters Reynolds, Jackson, and Selma Hayek reprising their respective roles of Michael Bryce, Darius Kincaid and his puzzling wife Sonia. But the only twist here is that this time, the trio will be aiming at a new mission which will be all about the Amalfi Coast. Freeman's character deets aren't out yet.
Talking about Freeman, the star was last seen on the silver screen in Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, which made it to the theatres just months after multiple women accused Morgan of sexual misconduct on production sets or during the promotions over his career spanning more than five decades. Before the sequel to The Hitman's Bodyguard, Freeman will be seen in Olympus has Fallen's sequel Angel Has Fallen. The Hitman's Bodyguard 2 will start filming this month. The release date of the film hasn't been announced yet.

During the time when Morgan was accused on grounds of sexual misconduct by multiple women, the star issued an official statement in his defense which read, “Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected – that was never my intent.”
