At the Academy Awards, the trophy for the Best Documentary Short Subject has been bagged by an Indian producer named Guneet Monga, who has produced films like Masaan, Lunchbox and Masaan. Monga has won the Oscar Trophy for her documentary film titled, Period. End of Sentence., which is based on the stigma around menstruation. Ever since the verdict of Oscars 2019’s Documentary Short Subject winner has dropped in, the Indian audiences are over the moon. Monga, who couldn’t contain her excitement, shared her feelings through a tweet.
Bollywood celebs like Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, Neha Dhupia and many others expressed their happiness on this win, as they took to their Twitter handles and congratulated the producer.
