Two of the biggest pop stars Lady Gaga and Madonna have shared a rather cold relationship over the past couple of years. The two are also very often compared to each other, leading to speculations that they are rivals. Well, let the bygones be bygones and it looks like the two women believe in it too and are ready to set off on a fresh journey as friends. An inside picture of the Oscars after-party proves that the two have indeed made peace and netizens are going nuts over them.
The picture, posted exclusively by TIME, shows Gaga beaming as Madonna embraces her. Gaga clearly is in love with her award as she's seen clutching her trophy for dear life. Madonna is also seen caressing Gaga’s cheeks lovingly as she wears a champagne satin outfit with an elaborate headpiece. A picture does speak a thousand words and this just is the perfect example. There could be no better of saying this but things do seem to be going great between them!

The 91st Academy Awards were filled with historic firsts and emotional moments, from @blackpanther‘s Ruth E. Carter and Hannah Beachler becoming the first black women to win in their respective categories (Costume Design and Production Design) to @ladygaga and Bradley Cooper’s stirring performance of their award-winning song “Shallow.” After the event, the biggest names in #Hollywood celebrated at “The Party,” entertainment mogul @guyoseary and @madonna’s famed after-party, where there is a strict ban on social media posts. TIME partnered at the event with the artist and photographer JR—a 2018 #TIME100 honoree—for an exclusive look at last night’s winners and partygoers. See more pictures at the link in bio. The feud between Gaga and Madonna reportedly started in 2011, when Madonna and many music fans accused Gaga of copying the former’s 1989 track Express Yourself in Born This Way. Madonna even went on to call Gaga’s accused tune ‘reductive’. Years later, Gaga responded to the allegations and said, "She wouldn't look me in the eye and tell me that I was reductive.”."Telling me you think I'm a piece of sh-t through the media? It's like a guy passing me a note through his friend,” she added.
