Oscars 2019: Queen and Adam Lambert all set to perform at the Academy Awards!

The 91st edition of one of the most awaited award nights of Hollywood – The Academy Awards, popularly known as Oscars, will be taking place on February 24, 2019. While the Oscars is trending for all the wrong reasons, here’s one to rather rejoice about! The popular band Queen is all set to take the centre stage with their rocking performance! Don’t believe us? The official account of Queen took to their social media and announced the news in the most ‘rocking’ way!

The Queen comprises of original members; guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor and is fronted by singer Adam Lambert, who also happens to be an ex-American Idol contestant. They have been touring together in the name of Queen + Adam Lambert since 2011. This move comes after the super success of the Bohemian Rhapsody, a biopic which is based on the Queen and its late front-man, Freddie Mercury. Bohemian Rhapsody has gained a total of five Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Film Editing and Rami Malek for Best Actor for his performance as Freddie Mercury.

Recently, the Academy Awards was in the news for dropping their four major categories in order to cut short the event’s duration. However, the decision was withdrawn following a huge backlash. And who isn’t aware of the much-dramatised Kevin Hart exit?
