American actor Rami Malek is on the peak of his career, ever since the release of Bohemian Rhapsody. The film is a biopic on popular band Queen’s late frontman Freddie Mercury, wherein Malek essayed the role of Freddie. The film opened to rave reviews and his performance impressed all, to an extent that Rami ended up bagging the Oscars trophy for Best Actor at the ceremony that took place on February 25, 2019. However, his happiness lasted only a few seconds as right after accepting his award, the actor tripped off the stage.
According to a report in People, Rami missed a step and lost his balance while getting off the stage. Malek was immediately provided with assistance from the paramedics as he was shifted to a private area backstage, where he received all the treatment for possible injuries. The report further added that Malek couldn’t pose along with all the co-winners for a photograph. Despite the fall looking very serious, fortunately, it was later confirmed that the actor didn’t suffer any serious injury. Thank God!
Looking at the bright side, we congratulate Rami on his phenomenal victory at the Oscars tonight. Here’s for many more awards in the future!
