Pokemon Detective Pikachu full movie leak tweeted by Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds is a known prankster, so we should have all questioned him when he tweeted a 'pirated' pre-release of the Pokemon Detective Pikachu movie. The star tweeted the link to his 13 million fans on Twitter with the caption "Um...attn". Of course, Reynolds hadn't actually shared a full movie rip of Pokemon Detective Pikachu, in which he stars as the yellow rodent. The Deadpool actor's link took you to a rick-roll style prank with Pikachu dancing away. The 'pirated' version was 60 seconds on YouTube of the opening of the actual movie followed by 102 minutes of Pikachu aerobicising.

The full movie link racked up 4 million views in 14 hours under the Inspector Pikachu account. The beginning of the movie was watermarked R Reynolds as a nod that it was a fake too. In previous promo videos, Reynolds shared an Inside the Actors Studio video where he talked about his method-acting for the role. “I tried to lose 182 pounds to match his weight until doctors intervened," he said.

Pokemon Detective Pikachu is released on Friday, May 10.
