Rihanna's been on the scene for 14 years now, and today fans were stunned to learn they've been mispronouncing her name the entire time. Her video interview for British Vogue has gone viral after the singer introduced herself and revealed how her name is really pronounced. "Hello British Vogue, it's Rihanna," the Bajan singer told the camera from her Fenty pop-up store in Paris, speaking her name as Ree-Anna, rather than Ree-Ah-Na, which is how it's pronounced in the US.
"I love how we all collectively choose to pronounce Rihanna's name wrong," remarked one stunned fan. "So, we've been pronouncing Rihanna's name wrong this whole time," agreed another floored follower. A third apologised on behalf of the nation, writing, "I am so p****d at all of us for pronouncing Rihanna's name wrong this entire time. I am so sorry queen."
Others admitted they knew they'd been saying it wrong all along but insisted they prefer the incorrect way. "I know how to pronounce Rihanna's name but I still say it incorrectly like 60 per cent of the time," wrote one. Another added: "I've heard her pronounce Rihanna this way but I still like saying "Ri-Anne-Na" but that's not fair to her." Last week it was revealed that Rihanna's been living a secret life in London for the last year.
RiRi admitted she'd gone incognito and has been wandering around the UK without any notice there was a superstar in their midst. According to reports, she's been staying in a £16k a week seven-bedroom mansion worth a whopping £30million in north London.Read More
