Allegations continue to mount against Harvey Weinstein. This time it’s US actress Rose McGowan who has come out with a scathing accusation against the movie producer. In a series of tweets, the Charmed star, has confessed that the Weinstein raped her and Amazon Studio chief Roy Price ignored her complaints. In what may hit closer home, Aishwarya Rai’s manager Simone Sheffield also claims that the movie producer wanted to meet Rai ‘alone’.
Rose McGowan has gone a step further and criticised Amazon chief executive, Jeff Bezos, for working with Weinstein. She even accused Price of not paying heed to the allegations. “I told the head of your studio that HW raped me. Over & over I said it. He said it hadn’t been proven. I said I was the proof”, she said in the tweet. Price himself is embroiled in the controversy after being accused by Isa Hackett, a producer on one of Amazon's shows, of sexual harassment.

While talking to Variety, Aishwarya’s agent was quoted saying, “I used to manage Indian actress Aishwarya Rai. While dealing with Harvey, I found it comical how hard he tried to get Aishwarya alone. But he was a pig, looked and acted like a big bully pig. He asked me to leave the meeting numerous times and I politely declined.”
Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Cara Delevingne, Lea Seydoux, Rosanna Arquette, and Mira Sorvino have all confessed to have been sexually harassed by Weinstein.
London and New York police have begun an investigation into the scandal. Weinstein representative Sallie Hofmeister has refused to comment on the New York Police Department investigation. While talking to CNN, Weinstein spokesperson has said, "Mr. Weinstein obviously can't speak to anonymous allegations, but with respect to any women who have made allegations on the record, Mr. Weinstein believes that all of these relationships were consensual."
