In the epic TV series, Game of Thrones, produced by HBO, Ser Davos Seaworth is the most rational and morally-conscious character. Rolling stones invited Ser Davos (played by Liam Cunningham) to answer questions posed by fans. While talking about Arya and how she is a role model for many female fans, Ser Davos said he had his reservations about Arya, the serial killer.
“There’s a lot of young women I speak to and when I ask what do you think about the ladies they say “Oh, Arya, Maisie Williams’s character, she is such a role model” And I go, let me stop you there, she’s a serial killer”, he said.
“A lot of women are using her as a role model and in 5 - 10 years’ time, let’s not examine where that might go”, he added.Arya Stark is a crusader against injustice in the show and is on a mission to quench her thirst for vengeance. Like her father, Ned Stark, she’s the one who keeps honour above all other emotions. Well, she did murder an entire room of Frey men and also was responsible for the murder of the highly-instrumental Littlefinger. Some even go to say that her current kill count is almost close to 64.
Davos maybe true about Arya being a ‘questionable’ role-model, but frankly, she is sort of a badass.Filming for the final season of Game of Thrones began in October, this year and will air in 2019. We don’t know how many more kills Arya is going to get!
